Update on New Development, Request to Re-Zone

The property on the northwest corner of 19th Ave. and Tierra Buena Ln. has recently been sold. The developer is requesting a zoning reclassification to allow construction of a 68-unit, two-story development. The units will be leased through a property manager and not individually owned. An entrance to the proposed development will come off Tierra Buena Ln. just before the gate entrance to Turf Village. Residents will be entering and leaving by Tierra Buena at 19th Ave. Click on the following link to read the notice our HOA Board received: New Development Information Notice to Re-Zone.

Several homeowners from Legacy Villas and Turf Village plus four members of our Board attended the Deer Valley Village Planning Committee public hearing at the Deer Valley Community Center on October 20th at 6:00 p.m. at 2001 W Wahalla Dr., north of Union Hills off 19th Ave. At this hearing, Legacy Villas and Turf Village residents voiced their concerns about the proposed development and possible resulting traffic issues. The Village Planning Committee asked the developer to research and address these concerns at their next meeting which is  scheduled for November 17th, the same night as our Annual Homeowners Meeting. Since the Board will be unable to attend, they have written a letter with the request that it be read at the meeting.

The Legacy Villas HOA Board will be presenting more detailed information on this new development at the Annual Meeting. Be sure to check our website or facebook page for any further information and updates.

Board Vacancies

Board of Directors

Due to several recent resignations, there are currently two vacancies on the Legacy Villas Homeowners Association Board of Directors. Board members are elected at the Annual Homeowners Meeting for a two-year term; however, the Board may fill any vacancies. The current vacancies carry a term expiring in November 2017. The Board also develops and administers the budget for the Association. Members may be assigned other tasks as needed, including participating in routine property inspections or researching special projects. Members must be a Unit Owner. The terms of three current members of the Board of Directors are scheduled to expire in November 2016.

Architectural Committee

There is also a vacancy on the Legacy Villas Architectural Committee. The primary role of this Committee is to review and act upon any and all proposals or plans submitted to it under the terms of the CC&Rs or the Architectural Committee Rules and Regulations.
